I had a hard start and immediate check engine light on my '02 Excursion (7.3L). My friend's Snap-on scanner said "cylinder 3 glow plug relay"; another friend with a cheaper scanner said "cylinder 3 glow plug". The truck runs fine but winter is here so can't wait. Can 1 glow plug go bad? I'm going to check the glow plug relay but I assume the plug itself is bad. Gonna change all 8 as long as I'm in there. Accurate diesel sells some nice kits, anyone have experience with them? Any help with this check engine light is appreciated. Thank You.
