2  Ford Excursion Owners Zone / Ford Excursion Problems, Questions & Answers / HELP HELP HELP transmission on: June 02, 2014, 08:29:47 PM
I am writing because I am in search of help on this. I have a 2002 Ford Excursion LIMITED, v10. And now my cousin and his 2002 Excursion is messing up as well. The vehicles start and run and drive. But ever so often the O/D(overdrive) button the the shifter will blink, it will start to run like hell(almost like it is loading up) and kill the motor. If you just try and start the vehicle back up it dies right away. But if you turn the key all the way back off and back on it starts up and stays running. Good to go until it messes up again.
- We are at a loss on what to do. Plug it in and it tells you nothing. Reset it and nothing, it happens again.
- It has a new neutral safety switch on transmission.
ANY THOUGHTS OR SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN AND FIXED IT, please let me know. Thank you
