Update. I changed out the fan clutch. Didn't fix the ac problem but it did need changed out. So back to square one.

Mine was sticking closed. Found the problem, gunk build up around the butterfly in the intake. I carefully cleaned it out with some carb cleaner. This may be your same problem. If not I'd get a new throttle cable. It may have worn a nice groove into the liner.

 Huh I HAVE AN 05 WITH THE 5.4 AND THE AC RECENTLY STOPPED WORKING. THE SYSTEM WAS RECOVERED AND RECHARGED TO SPEC. THE COMPRESSOR KICKS IN BUT DOESNT CYCLE OFF. THE LINES DONT GET COLD EITHER. THE CONDENSER IS CLEAN AND CLEAR. DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEAS WHAT THIS COULD BE?Huh??
