Hi, have got an update on my repair. I thought that something was wrong with the wheel alignment, considering the wear, and took it to the station. There guys checked it and told that my steering knuckles are worn. So had to order the new ones (ttps://www.carid.com/steering-knuckles/) So that's what damaged my wheels....

Hi everyone,

I am new on the forum. Recently noticed, that one part of the driver's side front wheel is badly worn, and tread became almost invisible there (the part that is closer to the body). While the external part is fine, as well as the other three wheels. My question is, what do I have to check first? (I've got an 04 Excursion, 5.4 L V8). I am planning to take it to the shop this weekend, but wanted to ask you guys to see what should I prepare to.

Thanks in advance!

Never heared about cases like this. A blown fuse every 10 miles... Please update when you find that weak spot. Thanks and good luck in your repair!  Wink

I would recommend Bilstein springs for front. On my Excursion I've also got shocks by Bilstein and I totally love the way these perform. Also I must say I love these suspension pieces for their durability, as once I had KYBs on an F-150 I had before, and a new shock leaked 3 months after the installation. Not sure what kind of springs they offer though.
