The gas has stuck on me, on my 2000 LTD with the v10. Is there an easy fix, like a throttle cable lube? Or do I need to take it to a shop?

This is not something that happens all the time, only once or twice. But it seems dangerous, like it could cause an accident. Both instances I had to shut the engine off to get it to unstick.

I'm not a mechanic, but if a simple lubrication or something would fix this, it would save me some money. Thanx for your answers.

Mine was sticking closed. Found the problem, gunk build up around the butterfly in the intake. I carefully cleaned it out with some carb cleaner. This may be your same problem. If not I'd get a new throttle cable. It may have worn a nice groove into the liner.
